I found this article to be very interesting. It added a lot of context to what we learned in lecture; especially about John Cage's later life and work. John Cage was very ahead of his time, especially considering he had predicted the use of electronics within music far before the advent of EDM and other similar genres. I also found his dedication to radicalism to be an important aspect of his work; I really look up to that.

For some reason, I had assumed that his work was far older than it actually is. Finding out that his partner Cunningham had passed away as early as 2009 was a shock to me. Their relationship, even as briefly described in this article, is really beautiful. While I found the sound of his work to be discordant, I can really appreciate how he entirely reshaped the concept of music. I was glad to see that his work was eventually recognized.
