Here is the final result of my photoshop pop quiz! Some things may be a bit unclear, so I wanted to note that the bug in the upper righthand corner has hard parts of it erased (demonstration of the eraser tool), and the bug to its left has the dodge, burn and sponge tool used on it. The wasp in the upper lefthand corner has had the sharpen, bur and smudge tools used on it.

What is the standard resolution for images made for the web?

72 dpi


What is the standard resolution for images made for print?

300 dpi


What 2 types of files should you always save, and what are their purposes?

You should always save a working file (.psd) so that you can come back to your work with your layers preserved if you need to make any edits, and a exported/flattened image so that you can post your work or share it (.jpg or .png).
